Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education Gujranwala Punjab has the authority to conduct annual and supply exams of SSC and HSSC in the districts of Gujranwala, Gujrat, Sialkot, Mandi Bahauddin, Hafizabad and Narowal. Thousands of private and regular students appear in both SSC and HSSC annual exams under BISE Gujranwala while several examination centers are established in these areas for the participants of the exams. In the above mentioned districts, all the public and private schools and colleges are affiliated with Gujranwala Board. 9th and 10th class annual exams are held in May and June while 11th and 12th class annual exams are organized by the board in August and September. Practical and written papers are held separately.

After two or three months of the exams, the results are declared by BISE Gujranwala for the students. SSC part 1 & 2 annual exams results are declared in June or July while the results of HSSC part 1 & 2 are announced in the month of August or September. Soon after the result announcement, the students of matric and intermediate class can view their results at the official site of BISE Gujranwala while the result cards are also posted to the mentioned addresses of the students which reach their destination after just few days of the results.

Apart from annual exams, supply exams also known as improvement exam or 2nd annual exam are also conducted by BISE Gujranwala. The supplementary exams of matric and intermediate class are held for the unsuccessful students of the exams while these supply exams are held after couple of months of the results of annual exams. After one or two months, the results of supply exams are announced by the board which is immediately uploaded at the official site of the board for the students.
